Welcome to Lent Madness at St. John’s!

Welcome to St. John’s Lent Madness!

All from St. John’s are invited to submit their brackets for the Lent Madness game!

Not sure what Lent Madness is? Well, its similar to the NCAA basketball tournament, but rather than colleges competing, its saints that are pitted in a daily battle. The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time and people vote for their favorite saint. 16 saints make it to the Round of the Saintly Sixteen; eight advance to the Round of the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the coveted Golden Halo.

You can also read about the game on the world wide Lent Madness site – www.lentmadness.org

The deadline to submit your bracket is 5pm on Wednesday February 14th. You can enter one of the two ways described below. If you have any questions or problems, please reach out to Nigel (email at the bottom). We hope you can join your fellow parishioners for some fun!

We will have prizes for the overall champion, as well as the champion of the “16 and under” division. If you are 16 and under, be sure to note that on your entry.
